Farmers in Mvuma experience problems of wild animals like the hare that sneak onto soya bean fields to browse the soya crop. Farmers create traps by digging one to one and a half meter deep and one meter wide pits under the boundary barbed wire fencing the fields. Pit sizes vary with size of invading animals. Farmers cover pits with thatching grass. Animals that fall into the pits do not come out easily. 

Mvuma is in the Midlands province of Zimbabwe.
